- All
about our Panama Hats
- Our hats are handmade
from the finest palm fiber (toquilla) native to the jungles of
Ecuador. Each hat is crafted by a single person using skills
that have been passed down through generations of native
Ecuadorians. Consequently, these hats are known throughout the
world as some of the finest.
-
- Created
with Ecology in mind. Ecuadorians
are a very peaceful and loving people that care about their
country, so our hats are made totally from natural (toquilla)
fibers grown and harvested specifically for this purpose.
-
- Hat
Bands, Ribbons and Boxes.
These
are available on a limited basis. We want to sell our hats and
leave the creativity up to our customers. But, if there is a
certain look that you need please ask us. Ribbons and scarf's
are great add ons. Plus, balsa boxes are available (Hat in a
Box). This is a unique way to market the hat.

Colors
and Pricing. There
are a variety of colors available including red, blue, green,
brown, beige, navy, pink, white, and more. Our hats has been
very consistent and stable, but if there are small price changes
- either more or less - they will be passed on to the customer.
- How to
recognize quality? One
only has to examine the hat to see the
many hours of labor in each piece. The smoothness and
tightness of weave is without compare anywhere in the world.
As an example, hats coming from Taiwan, China, Philippines and
Mexico, are coarse weave and lack these fine quality raw
materials. The color is another way to see a difference.
Ecuadorian materials tend to be much more naturally white than
other areas.
